Senior leaders were being sold AI by people who had never run an operation. There was no room where operators could compare notes without a vendor sitting in it.
What it is
A private community for senior operators putting AI to work. Sessions with speakers from Databricks, Salesforce and Red Hat, a member directory, and one in-person event a year.
Where it stands
The founding cohort capped at 50 and filled about three times faster than planned. Members come from Google, Databricks, Salesforce, JP Morgan, NHL, Red Hat, AWS and Zapier. Mexico City, November 2026, is the first time everyone is in one room.
I travel dozens of times a year, and that is where eating well falls apart: airport food, client dinners, hotel breakfasts, a menu I have never seen at 9 pm. I had a stack of bloodwork on one side and a phone full of menu photos on the other, and no fast way to connect the two while standing in a restaurant.
What it is
A food agent you set up once. You answer eight questions about your goals, health markers, restrictions and preferences. After that, it works four ways:
Menu photo
Snap a picture and it tells you what to order, or what to swap to make the order work.
Restaurant name or URL
Send it before you arrive and it picks for you, with a backup.
Meal scoring
Show it your plate and it rates the meal against your goals, and says what would move the number.
Fridge photo
Two or three meals you can make with what is already in there.
What it looks like
Breakfast, somewhere abroad
Enjoy. 9. And the one point backLunch, decided in the doorway
Your data stays yours
The profile lives on your own device. Nothing about your goals, markers or meals comes back to me. It runs inside Claude and takes about a minute to set up.
Where it stands
I use it daily, on the road and at home. The public version is on GitHub with my data stripped out, so you fill in your own and run it. Try it on your next trip and tell me what you would change.
Most anxiety help online was written for clinicians or selling a subscription, and people were reading it late at night on a phone.
What it was
A free resource site written for someone in the middle of an anxious moment. The tagline was “Find resources for a healthy journey with anxiety.” The site had eight sections:
Science of anxiety, the basics and why anxiety is a normal human system
Meditation, the evidence and how to actually start
Sleep
Exercise
Foundation Formula, a methodology with a self-assessment
Find support, text lines, therapist directories, virtual counseling
Book recommendations
anxieTEA, the blog
Who built it
Mark Lombardi joined as co-founder and led the content. Bennett Jackson Jr., an NFL safety, joined as ambassador. Every page carried a plain disclaimer that the site was not medical advice and did not replace a clinician.
Where it stands
It ran for four years and pulled tens of thousands of views. The last post went up in September 2023 and the domain has since lapsed, so there is nothing left to click.
Every deal app listed chains. The good local spots never showed up, and only people on that street knew their deals.
What it was
A local guide to the best food and drink deals, added and kept current by the people who ate there. It skipped fast food and focused on local places with deals worth crossing town for. It carried thousands of deals across every major US city, and it was the top Google result nationally in its category.
The line
Eat Cheap | Live Rich.
Where it went
Acquired by a San Francisco Bay Area startup that was photographing restaurants and bars so people could see what a place looked like before they went. A deals map of the same venues fit straight into that. The site is still running at eatcheap.app under its new owner, with a different design.
